The Used Engine Warranty

At The Used Engine, we stand behind the quality and reliability of our products. Our warranty program is designed to provide customers with confidence and peace of mind. All products sold are pre-owned automotive components and are subject to the terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions outlined in this Warranty Policy.

The Used Engine provides a limited warranty on used engines and transmissions. Coverage applies only to verified mechanical or functional failure of internal components occurring under normal operating conditions, proper installation, and full compliance with this policy. No other warranties, express or implied, are provided unless required by applicable law.

Warranty coverage is strictly limited to internally lubricated components, including:

• Engines: Engine block, cylinder heads, pistons, crankshaft, camshaft, connecting rods, and internal lubricated parts.
• Transmissions: Gears, shafts, and internal bearings.

Warranty coverage begins on the original delivery date and applies to the original purchaser and vehicle listed on the invoice. Your coverage is determined by the plan selected at the time of purchase:

We guarantee mechanical performance only. Used components may show normal wear, surface rust, or cosmetic imperfections consistent with age. Appearance is not grounds for return or dispute. Any appearance concerns must be reported within 7 calendar days of delivery. Claims reported after 7 days will not be accepted.

Customers must inspect products immediately upon delivery. Any shipping damage, missing items, or visible discrepancies must be reported within 7 calendar days of delivery. Documentation with photos and notation with the shipping carrier is required. Failure to report issues within this 7-day window will void related claims.

To maintain warranty eligibility, all work must be performed by a licensed repair facility or ASE-certified mechanic.

• Installation must be completed within 15 calendar days of delivery.
• Mandatory Replacements: New water pump, thermostat, and timing belt/chain must be installed.
• Odometer Documentation: The vehicle's odometer mileage must be recorded and documented on the installation invoice at the time of installation.
• Records: Commercial service receipts and invoices must be retained. Failure to provide documentation will result in claim denial.

If a failure occurs:

1. Contact The Used Engine immediately.
2. Cease operation of the vehicle.
3. Do not dismantle or modify the product.
4. Submit a formal claim with: Order Number, VIN, ASE-certified installation invoice, diagnostic report, and supporting photos/videos via our Customer Warranty Portal within 10 business days.

For approved claims, The Used Engine will, at its sole discretion:

• Replace the product with a comparable unit, OR
• Issue a refund for the original purchase price.

Warranty coverage is voided by:

• Failure to report visible issues within 7 days.
• Installation after 15 days from delivery.
• Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or disassembly.
• Overheating, oil starvation, racing, off-road use, or lack of maintenance.
• Missing or tampered heat tabs.

• Cancellations: Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase. Cancellations after 24 hours or refused shipments are subject to a 20% restocking fee plus all applicable two-way shipping charges.
• Non-Refundable Deposits: All inventory hold, special order, and custom procurement deposits are non-refundable.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and the original vehicle listed on the invoice. It is non-transferable.
